Account data: Email address, display name, and profile photo (if you sign in with Google).
Learning data: Study session history, card review grades, response times, mastery progress, and AI tutor conversations.
Payment data: Subscription and billing information is processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number — Stripe handles this securely.
Technical data: Error reports (via Sentry) that may include browser type, device info, and anonymized usage context.
We use your data to: (a) provide and improve the learning experience; (b) schedule spaced repetition reviews; (c) power the AI tutor; (d) process payments; (e) send service-related emails (account, billing, major updates); and (f) diagnose technical issues.
We share data with the following services only as needed to operate MasteryHelp:
We do not sell your data to anyone.
Your account and learning data are retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data (e.g., overall usage statistics) may be retained indefinitely.
You may: (a) request a copy of your data; (b) correct inaccurate data; (c) delete your account and data; or (d) opt out of non-essential emails. Contact us via the Support page for any of these requests.
MasteryHelp uses browser local storage to persist authentication state and UI preferences (e.g., intro completion, last course viewed). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
MasteryHelp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
